We interviewed Head Chef Shadi Issawy to see what he thinks of his new Adande fridge drawers.

Has Adande drawers improved your kitchen workflow?

Yes they are designed well which makes them very accessible and efficient. Plus, because it’s one whole container, you can open the whole Adande drawer and see a full clear view of all your ingredients in front of you, which is much easier and helpful for our workflow rather than having fridges with doors.

Do you find it helpful to have all your ingredients visible and easily accessible with our drawers?

Yes! You do feel as if there is a risk of a temperature increase with all of your ingredients exposed by having the drawer open. But the Adande technology ensures the patented insulated container, holds the cold, so the temperature is retained. It’s great when constantly grabbing ingredients in a hot kitchen.

Have you noticed any energy savings?

Well to keep track of energy, I always track the fridge drawer temperature and its always very stable. Which means its not consuming too much energy in my experience. Because if you have fluctuations that means it’s getting hot and trying too hard to get cold and consuming more energy. But our drawer temperature is always very stable.

How easy is it to clean your Adande drawers?

Cleaning is actually really easy because you can take the insulated container out, then wash it down out the back once a week with the KP, then bring it back clean! Plus wiping the inside regularly is simple to do and maintains cleanliness.
